General Tournament Information
The NJJBA May Day Tournament is a USSSA State and National Qualifier and features "Double Points" compared to normal qualifiers. The May Day Tournament will include all age groups (8's thru 14's) in both the Majors and AAA Divisions!
The Tournament will run May 2nd, 3rd and 4th, 2008, and will be played in Arvada, Colorado. The Tournament is a 3 game guaranteed, Pool Play into Single Elimination format.
Due to the time of the year, weather may play a factor in game scheduling. Weather updates will be maintained on the NJJBA Baseball Line at 303-422-7406. For tournament information send emails to tournaments@njjba.org.
USSSA State Tournament Berths via the NJJBA May Day Tournament will be awarded as follows:
2 berths per age/division to State Championships and World Series
Refund Policy
0 games played — Full refund minus $50 administration fee
1 game played — 50% refund
2 or more games played — No Refund
Rules and Tournament-specific Information
USSSA Rules will be followed for the Tournament.
ADDITIONAL RULES / GAME MANAGEMENT:
Coin flip will determine "Home" team during Pool Play.
During the Elimination rounds, the "Home" team shall be
the higher seed.
The "Home" team shall maintain the Official Scorebook
provided by the Tournament Site Director.
The "Home" team shall also maintain the Official Game
Card provided and complete the Scores and Pitching records for the
game. Both Coaches (Home and Visitor) must sign the game cards, acknowledging
the information to be recorded.
At the completion of the game, the Official Game Card must be returned
to the Tournament Site Director to maintain the age/division brackets
and tournament pitching records.
Tie Breakers during Pool Play shall be determined by the following:
Head to Head
Runs Allowed
Run Differential (Max +/- 8 Runs per Game)
Coin Flip
Once you advance to the next tiebreaker criteria, you do not return
to the previous criteria.
Forfeits shall be recorded as an 8-0 score.
All teams must have a roster entered and approved online at www.usssa.com.
No changes to rosters are allowed after the start of tournament play.
No protests are allowed. Umpire judgment decisions are final. All
other Rule interpretations and/or violations must be addressed by
the Tournament Site Director on the spot prior to proceeding with
the game.
No inning shall start after time has expired. The start of an inning
is defined as when the third (3rd) out is recorded in the bottom of
an inning.
National USSSA Rules will be followed with the exceptions noted
within these summary sheet/rules.

The Tournament will run May 23, 24, and 25, 2008, and will be played in Arvada, Colorado
The Tournament is a 3 game guaranteed, Pool Play into Single Elimination format

All teams must turn in a signed and completed Waiver Form prior to your first game

We will be using game cards for
every game played over the weekend
The game cards will record the scores and the pitching used for the game and will be posted at the site "tent" for your particular age group
A master bracket and pitching chart will be maintained at each complex as well as the Lutz Complex Tournament Headquarters
The "Home" team scorekeeper will maintain the game card and have both coaches sign it following the completion of the game and then return it to the site tent for recording

Game times are 1 hour 45 minutes up until Semi-Finals when they
move to 2 hour time limits.
Run rules are as follows: For 9, 10, 11 and 12 year-olds, 15 runs
after 3 innings, 8 after 4. For 13 and 14 year-olds, 15 after 3,
12 after 4 or 8 after 5.

This tournament, now in its 10th Year, will feature USSSA Classifications
"AAA", "AA", and "A"
for ages 9 through 14.
USSSA State and National Qualifier!
Where available, 14-Year-old AAA will play on 90´ bases and 60´6" pitching!
